Dennis Avilucea, Jr., received his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts in 2015. Much of his experience since graduating from law school has been in personal injury and insurance defense. Dennis’ civil law experience includes matters involving insurance defense, trade secrets, property rights, and appellate work. However, he has also spent time in family law, immigration law, and criminal law.
During law school Dennis interned with the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe where he learned about Tribal Law and dealt directly with Tribal leaders. He has also defended misdemeanor and felony criminal cases in counties all around the Bay Area. In addition to appearing in court he has also drafted criminal appeals and has argued multiple cases in front of Appellate Panels in the Northern District of California.
Dennis is a member of the California State Bar Association and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
