Lauren Mayes

Lauren joined Hanna Brophy as an associate in 2020. Prior to joining Hanna Brophy, Ms. Mayes worked for another nationwide workers’ compensation defense firm. Lauren focuses her practice on counseling and defending employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters throughout California.

Lauren received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she was a staff member and writer for Loyola’s International and Comparative Law Review. During law school, she served as a judicial intern for the late Honorable Beverly Reid O’Connell of the United States District Court, Central District of California. Lauren also draws on experience gained during her time with Loyola’s Employment Rights Clinic, where she investigated employment retaliation complaints on behalf of the California Labor Commissioner.

In Lauren’s free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. She practices Pilates and is an indoor-cycling enthusiast.
